Job Summary:
As an International Caregiver, you will deliver exceptional care to clients, adapting to diverse cultural and environmental settings. You’ll assist with daily living activities, foster emotional well-being, and ensure a safe, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Daily Living Support: Plan/prepare meals (considering cultural/religious preferences), perform light housekeeping, and accompany clients to appointments.
- Health Management: Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and coordinate with healthcare providers.
- Mobility Assistance: Aid with transfers, ambulation, and use of mobility devices.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful activities, provide emotional support, and promote social interaction.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided and client progress.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Respect and adapt to clients’ cultural, religious, and dietary practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years as a caregiver (home care, facilities, or hospitals).
- Certifications: Valid CNA, HHA, or equivalent; CPR/First Aid certification.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic) preferred.
- Cultural Competence: Experience working in multicultural environments.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Travel Readiness: Valid passport, willingness to relocate, and flexibility for varying assignments.
- Soft Skills: Empathy, patience, strong communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or disabilities.
- Live-in caregiving expertise.
- Knowledge of a third language.
