The Opportunity

This comprehensive role requires a blend of strategic thinking, leadership, and technical financial expertise to ensure that the organization effectively meets its objectives and serves its stakeholders.

As Country Finance Director (CFD), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the finance strategy in alignment with the Country Strategic Plan (CSP), you will responsible for developing and overseeing the finance strategy, ensuring it aligns with the organization’s overall goals.

Leading, managing, and nurturing the finance team is critical; As Country Finance Director you will support the team in adopting and executing financial standards, processes, and systems that facilitate the delivery of program strategies and accountability to children, communities, and donors

Country Finance Director is integral to managing all finance-related aspects, including budget management, financial oversight, and contract management. This includes overseeing a substantial annual budget of approximately €20 million, with collaboration with the region.

The Individual

We are looking to recruit a qualified candidate, with a Master’s degree in finance Accounting or Auditing or Finance or a related field with professional Financial/Accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage. As Country Finance Director, you will have knowledge of International Financial reporting standards, control standards, and the reporting requirements of major international grant donors, knowledge of OHADA Framework and Cameroon Tax laws and systems and knowledge of the sector and the financial management issues specific to it is an advantage; thorough knowledge MS Office, especially Excel and Word; Good management skills, Problem solving skills, Good negotiating, facilitating, and influencing skills are required. English and French languages are important assets
